How often do I need to return to Lashed to keep my extensions looking like a full set?
After your initial set, you can maintain your look with a fill approximately every three weeks. A fill is a shorter appointment time when the stylist will replace any eyelashes that have fallen out as part of the normal shedding cycle. We offer three fill options for restoring your look based on guidelines of recommended time between appointments. These options differ only in the amount of time your stylist will spend with you.
Will eyelash extensions damage my lashes or hurt my eyes?
Eyelash extensions are perfectly safe when properly applied by a licensed and trained stylist who uses quality products. The adhesive we use is formulated to create a polypeptide bond, designed specifically for human lashes. We are vigilant about knowing and practicing the latest health and safety recommendations regarding extensions. Because we are working near the eyes, we take safety and sanitation practices very seriously.
Are reactions or allergies common?
Allergic reactions to eyelash extensions are uncommon and usually mild. If you are concerned about an allergic reaction, book a complementary consultation and we will place a few extensions on each eye to test your body’s reaction to the adhesive.
What should I do before my appointment?
Please arrive at least ten minutes early for your first appointment. As with all Lashed appointments, arriving early ensures that your stylist will have the maximum amount of time to spend on you. Remove all eye makeup. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before your appointment or bring a lens case and remove them when you arrive.
How do I care for my eyelash extensions?
- Wash your lashes regularly with a gentle, oil-free cleanser.
- Brush your lashes daily using a dry mascara brush.
- Do not use oil-based or waterproof products around the lash line.
- If possible, sleep on your back or side with lashes off the pillow.
